    Dell Studio 1537 backlit keyboard

    Hi guys!

    I have a Dell Studio 1537 laptop and I may be interested in installing a backlit keyboard. The keyboard I'm currently using still does its job, but I'd like to have a backlit one.

    where Mastershroom and others explain some detail about the whole thing, but...I still have a question :)

    Are there different kinds of motherboard, so that it's possible that mine does not support a backlit keyboard? I guess I could simply look for a connector on the motherboard removing the keyboard, but...you know...I may not see the connector, or even think that it's there while it's not :D

    Any help? :)

    The Studio 1537 was designed to work with an optional ‘Backlit keyboard’ as well. You may install the Backlit keyboard in your system. Please ensure that, you are getting correct part. Please find below the link for the service manual of Studio 1537, you may refer to the same if required.

    Does Dell sell this kind of keyboard? I've found many website (and e-bay shops) where you can buy it, but they are all US-layout keyboard, while I need an IT-layout one. There a couple of online shops that have it, but the price is twice the US-layout, so I thought it could be better to buy directly from Dell (for reliability reasons) if the price is almost the same...
