Guess nobody's interested? Haha, with the topics asking about the differences, I thought there'd be more interest. :p Oh well.

Nice photos, but I think the Inspirons need a visual upgrade quick. They are so ugly.

Very nice presentation of the lappys! :D
I like the Studio 15 alot..I just wish it had the same type of keyboard as the 1525 (silver) :D I guess I'm just used to that with my 1530, and that's what I prefer! ;)

Isn't there another Dell model with a compatible keyboard for the Studio? I know the XPS M1530 and Vostro keyboards are interchangeable, and one is silver, one is black. There should be some model with a silver keyboard compatible with that of the Studio...

Great comparison pics! I still think that Dell cheaped out with the lack of media controls on the new Inspiron 15, they don't even need to be capacitive, even physical buttons would do

I agree but I think that is the future of the Inspiron line. Ultra low cost entry level PC's.

Yeah, that's the impression I get. And the Studio series isn't that much more expensive, but it does have a few nice features, including the media buttons.

I've only had one issue with the touch-sensitive eject button, which has since been fixed.

That tends to be an issue of earlier models. It seems that a replacement media control cover fixes the problem.

It does have physical keys. All of the F keys at the top have been replaced with media keys as their default function. You need to press FN to use them as F keys. You'll see that the F keys have media functions printed on them. This way, you can just press the buttons without holding FN when you want to mute, put your volume up and down, etc. Hope you see this.

You can reverse this in the BIOS, so that they function as F-keys by default, and you hold Fn to use them as media keys.
