Dell Studio 15 ship question

Need to know, just ordered my laptop and have been given a ship date of 11-1-10. I'm finding this a bit odd and wanted to know what you guys thought.

Threadless- Studio

The threadless studio is the actual graphic that has been chosen for the laptop. its one of the custom ones from their gallery. dunno why its giving such a long ship time but hey I thought maybe one of the regulars here could gimme some wisdom.

Lemme hear back asap so I can get it fixed if you guys think I did something wrong or dell is in the wrong. 8-30-10 was the day I ordered it from the website

 

I see you got a designer cover so it's going to take a while. I say 2-3 weeks.

 

2-3 weeks is expected, just wondered why they estimated it to take up to bout 2 months or more


purchase date was 8-30-10
ship date is set for 11-1-10

so all of sep and oct and hopefully on the first of november I get get it? kinda lengthy

 

It is just an estimation. Could be shorter or could be longer. Generally shorter(much) from my experience.

 

So that wouldn't be an abnormally high guesstimate?

 

I think they just gave you that lengthy frame because they are having a hard time keeping up with all those back to school orders and a lot of people complaining. I'm sure you'd get your laptop much sooner than the given period. Just wait and see. All I have to say.
