    Hey Everyone,

My first time posting on this forum, so bear with me a bit.

I wanted to ask, has anyone ordered a Studio 15 from Canada lately? If so, how are delays and backlogs going nowadays? I ordered mine on June 19th, and it's still in production. Is it supposed to take this long? My estimated ship date is July 13th

I'd appreciate any comments on this issue. I ordered it in Alberta, but I'll be leaving the province on July 11th, so I need it before that. I called up the CSRs a couple times, but they're always saying "will be there by June 13th, can't gaurantee anything".

Oh and my specs are as follows:
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9550 (2.66GHz/1066Mhz FSB/6MB cache)
    4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 800MHz
    Back-lit Keyboard
15.6” Full High Definition (1080p) High Brightness LED Display with TrueLife™ and Camera
512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570
    500GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
    Black Chainlink
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition, 64-bit SP1
8X Slot Load Super Multi (DL DVD+/-R Drive + RAM support)
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi MB
    IntelJ High Performance Wireless-N Card
85 WHr Lithium Ion Battery (9 cell)
Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Internal (2.1)

    Thanks!

I know when Dell releases a new model, it usually has a long backlog, but the Studio 1555 has been around for a while...they should've fixed whatever is slowing down production.

Call again and maybe threaten to cancel your order...? Don't know if that works with Dell, but it sure works when you order at a restaurant and they take forever to cook the food...

Maybe some component of your configuration is out of stock, call and ask about this possibility, you could review the configuration and avoid the troublesome component.

When you were building your laptop online, after you got to the Review Your Order page, did they show "May delay your Studio 15 shippment" or anything along those lines?

Thanks for all of your responses everyone! I check the page today, and it seems the it's been shipped finally (yay!)!

It says arrival date is tomorrow, but that's impossible because it just left today. I called a CSR and got the tracking number. Purolator says 3-6 business days.

Either way, it should be here soon :) And I'm looking forward to trying it outttt!

    Thanks for the suggestions!

P.S. And dspr_02, I don't think any of my items delayed my shipping; at least the order review things didn't say anything about it.
