This coupon code claims to take 25% off of this Studio 15 configured to $1149 or higher. I have configured it in several different ways to be over $1149, but the coupon just doesn't seem to work for me. Can someone help? These are a couple of the websites that give the same code:

    http://www.logicbuy.com/deals/Discount-Dell-Studio-15-15-6-inch-Laptop/12286.aspx

    http://www.dealhack.com/archives/2009/07/save_25_off_select_studio_15_1.html

    http://www.couponmountain.com/Dell-coupon/229626.html

These are just a few of the sites I've tried it through.
I recognize that the code would not just work if copied and pasted into any random Studio 15 on Dell.com, but it must be used with the one it directs you to on these sites.

    Am I missing something?

I believe they silently changed the requirements for that coupon, and those websites you listed aren't updated accordingly. You have to customize the $1,103 build (currently listed as $899 with instant savings), not the $599 build.

Edit: Doesn't seem to work now, I tested it yesterday and it was the $1,103 build option that it works with.

I will try this. I thought it was awfully strange, because a week or two ago the code actually worked for me. Thanks so much for the tip.

In order to use that coupon code you have to be customizing a certain e-value code. If you notice when you add the coupon code it doesn't take off any savings, but it does list it below the subtotal. If you click view details, it says that this coupon code is applicable only for a certain e-value code (6VAFF-DNDABA1).

That laptop is grossly overpriced, with few hardware upgrades. Still, take a look, and see if it works out for you.

Ok, I did notice that. Do you have to add that code? I saw that and I have no idea what that means

i think for e-value codes if you go to the home page and then search for it from the box in the corner it'll bring up the specific config.

Thank you for your help with this. The coupon has changed a lot since I first discovered it, apparently. Now the base price is $1,033. This is a huge rip off...

So is Dell.com (disreguarding this coupon) the best place to buy this laptop? I have a 7% member discount on the website which helps a little. Or is there another site/store that is better?

If you're in the states, I know they sell them at Best Buy, though I'm not sure about other stores. The configs there are usually pretty basic, but cheaper (and no waiting for delivery) than the same ones on the site. At the least, it would be worth it to go check out the laptop before making the investment.

    Hello,

I just went through and had the same issue, you do have to go to the dell website and just do a search for that E-Value Code: 6VAFF-DNDABA1, then you can use the following coupon for 25% off: T?JHXNQQC0SDWW, for other coupon codes for other Dell products, you can visit this website: http://www.techbargains.com/dellcoupons.cfm

After you configure the laptop and try to apply the coupon, if it is invalid, it should show you the "E-Value Code" that the coupon does apply to, then you can go back and do the search for it and it will take you directly to the "qualifying" product and do all the customizations you want to it and then add the coupon code and Joila! I just made it work for me.

Happy shopping! Hope this info. helps!
