    Dell Studio 1440 - screen painful to look at!

    I'm so confused. I can't keep testing laptops with 15% restocking fees. The links look purple-ish and the feel is that of looking at halogen headlights versus traditional headlights.

    I'm coming from an Acer Aspire, and I do a lot of photography. Now I'm clueless about color accuracy. Pics looks completely different on both. I know there are tools to help me out with this... just venting about this part I suppose.

    Short of turning to mac, which indeed has a beautiful screen, any suggestions? I saw a Sony Vaio that looked quite nice, but it's hard to tell under Best Buy's lighting.

    Anyone else have this with their Dell 1440 Studio?
