Hi everyone, I'm looking into getting a new laptop by the end of this year, and I wanna pass my current one to my brother by then. It's a nice machine, given me little problems, but the screen has some play in it and wobbles a little. About an inch's worth if you measure from the top, and it's annoying me and I would really like to fix the hinges if possible. But when I called Dell tech support they told me they couldn't find a part number for the hinges, and they said it's part of the screen. But they want me to pay $400 for a new screen plus $200 for servicing, which I believe is a rip.

So I go looking on ebay and everywhere else on the internet for a whole new screen, and the closest I can get is the LCD. Does anyone know if I seriously need a whole new screen just to replace the hinges, or if there are any hinges out there? OR if the hinges I currently have can actually be fixed, perhaps tightened or something. I'd appreciate any help, thanks.
