Dell Shipping Time on E1505

Hey everybody...I plan on buying the Inspiron E1505 later today. However, I need it before the 8th. I was wondering how long it took everyone to get their laptops/systems from Dell? The projected shipping date is the 7th, but I know that's way off from what I've read here on the forums.

Any chance that I can get it before the 8th with ground shipping? I can see about springing for 2nd Day, but it's a bit of a strech for $50 more...especially, when I don't have the extra $50 to spend.

Edit: I plan to call up Dell to order the system as I want TrueLife with the WXGA screen (it's not an option on the 30% off laptop). Maybe I can strike a deal with them to get faster shipping for cheaper?

 

I got mine at the start of May and ordered it on a Wednesday and it arrived, as advised, in the evening the following Tuesday.

Likewise I recently ordered a 1300/B120 on a Monday and it arrived on the Friday.

 

I ordered mine the 17th, got here yesterday, but thats because and accessory was out of stock for like 3 or 4 days.

 

I have a friend that ordered one last Wednesday, scheduled for delivery today (the following Tuesday). Appears to be quick right now...get it now before college orders start rolling in.

Bwahaha, ordered my e1705 just a week ago and I just got it today! Dell has really gotten snappy on these machines, they get here pretty quick. (that's also porbably due to the fact they opened a west coast merger center in Nevada.)

 

All the web pages indicated a turn around of 2+ weeks, but in actuality I ordered my laptop on a sunday night and recieved the laptop that friday.

 

I bought my laptop June 23rd. I needed it before july 8th as well. And expected arrival was July 7th. I get it tomrrow on June 28th!! So happy...

 

I ordered mine on a Saturday Morning and recieved it on a Thursday Morning. But I did have overnight shipping....btw, there is a very easy way to go about getting this (for free). Search the forums for a recent thread about this subject.

I ordered mine on the night of 6/21 and I got it today(6/27). I've just uninstalled all the crapware, and finished installing all the programs I need.

 

i ordered my e1505 on 6/6/06 and got it on 6/15/06 but i could've gotten it the 14th if i wasn't at work and missed the delivery. ten days is tops for most deliverys. they seem to make them quick and send them off quicker. it took 2 actual days of travel time from the factory
