Dell Screwed up Pricing and won't honor it, should i demand they do?

Hi, recently purchased the inspiron 1520 udel deal and thought i try to get an additional 10% off. The CSR ended up giving me 10 off plus an extra 8%! I placed order and paid for it. Next day, find out Dell cancelled it and now they won't honor the price. Lowest they will give me is same computer for 200 more. Tried to argue with CSR but her supervisor won't budge.

Did they explain why they canceled the order? Maybe that extra 8% was a mistake. Need more details on what happened.

 

I dont know about US law, but in the UK, if a retailer mis-prices something, then BY LAW, they HAVE to give it to you at the price advertised!

Check your consumer rights, and contact citizens advice and also contact trading standards (or whatever its called in the US), and see what they say. You might be within your rights to get it for the lower price! Esp if you have proof (order confirmation e-mail) that you were orgininally offered it for the lower price!

 

why r u ordering the 1520 neways??? it has many reported problems....chkout the forums....u cud get a similar config on a 1420 or a vostro...prolly at a better price too....
