Just checked out the Dell US Site.

The x1400 is $50.00 off  ?!?!?! Plus they including a free printer on the E 1705

Does this mean we going to see a new line of inspirons?

    Hope so..

    Can anyone confirm???

I just noticed the same thing with the 1505 on Dell's site. You can only now get the 7300 (included) or the x1400 ($40). The integrated is no longer an option, nor the nvidia 7200 if i remember correctly. Yes, yes, please yes new 15" laptops! We've been waiting SO long!

Sorry about that I thought the link would work. I found the article by googling "michael dell memo inspiron". It doesn't really say much about the inspirons, here's the full quote about them:

Personalized color options, hmm. Hopefully the design of the Inspirons change a little bit, although it would be nice to change the colour of those horrible white bumpers along the sides.

this was expected as the inspiron line was set to refreshen on the releaase of santa rosa or somewhere close by that date along with a new face lift
one of the reasons they hired the desighner of the motorola RAZR to desigh their chassis for their laptops

They should make 7900GS for like 150$. If they're gonna renew the Inspiron line, i'd suggest they should make a thinner and less white bumper no gray color.

hope thats what they do or else it wouldnt be much of a facelift
not many fancy the white bumpers
so they would be sort of complled to remove the white bumpers and would d o the same if they are wise

Nice find on that article, it'll be interesting to see what color options it is Dell will offer. June is the release date for new Inspirons indeed, nothing coming next week.

With all these other companies going glossy (HP, Acer, Toshiba) you think Dell will follow? Either way, Dell definitely needs to redesign their Inspiron laptops. The look is getting way oooold.
