I posted something similar in a separate topic but I feel like this might be a better part of the forums to talk about it. I recently jumped the gun on purchase of an Alienware m14x, which I would have every intention to keep aside from the fact that many have reviewed the screen to be terrible. I need a laptop with better gamut coverage and the m14x is not one of those laptops. (It's a shame, I was so excited.) Lucky me for just finding out about this today, right?

Anyways, at first I thought I might try my luck at cancelling it. They wouldn't let me though because the order was in processing ( it was only 2-3 days later though, it makes no sense however that they won't cancel it when I specifically tell them I will return it anyways!) At first I got an Indian woman who was no help at all, and I was luckier than a few of the people I read about online, because on the 2nd try I got someone who still wouldn't cancel the order but at least set me up with a case number. He then told me to accept the shipment and return it, with no restock charge.

I have no intention of opening the box when i receive it so my question is, what is the best course of action?

    1) Should I do as the rep said and return it? Can I trust that I will not be charged a restock fee like he said? I have the case number and the number he told me to dial but that's about it.
    2) I heard some people refusing the order (this sounds risky though).
    3) Should I call continuously like a madman and try in vain to get them to cancel it?

If any of you have returned a Dell is it really that bad? Or is it a minority of people who have had problems being more vocal than a majority of people having no problems with a refund?

Just refuse the delivery there is nothing to lose or be scared of and they can't charge you for it
