    Dell Restore Question

    I already deleted the Dell Restore Partition when I reformatted my computer, and I didn't make a backup of the Restore partition...

    Is it still possible to get the Dell Restore back? Anyone?

    It's probably in the VERY hard to do category at this point. I guess if you did a 'quick' format you could try some partition recovery tools, but there's a good chance that Windows may have written over some key bits-n-pieces....

    If you did a 'long' format, then I think you can forget about it....

    Even if you did get the partition back, once you reformat the C drive you can't use the restore partition as the MBR is overwritten. (You can use the partition, but it's not a quick and easy task.)

    How come on the Dell 2nd partition there is nothing to see there. Looks empty.
    If Norton Ghost is only good for 90 days then how do you restore a year from now?
