Basically I'm wondering if anyone has created a way to change the image located on that partition while keeping the ctrl-f11 functionality. I imagine this image is created using norton ghost while the MBR is specially coded. I've already backed up the first part of my harddrive using that symantec utility. Also I've heard storys of the Dell media direct repair utility restoring the ctrl-f11 functionality. I've already got the perfect image for me on a DVD but I wanna put that on the partition so I get the same ease of access without all the Dell Bloatware and all the apps and games I like to play.

    Thanks.

How do you know it didn't? Because you ordered the CDs? Even if you order the CDs you still get the partition. Have you checked your disk management or tried booting to it?
