In late June I ordered a Dell e6400 from the Dell outlet. It arrived with a severely bowed screen and broken keys. Contacted Dell support the same day, I sent the laptop in for repairs. It came back with a broken fingerprint reader and even more crooked screen and messed up keys.
I call dell, ask for a replacement. I am told that I will receive the replacement in 5-15 business days and will be updated weekly. I am also told that the parts will be equal or better. Despite my own emails and calls, nobody contacts me for 18 business days, and I finally get an order number of the replacement at 19 business days. The computer is configured completely different, with all the parts much worse. I think they just hoped I wouldn't have noticed and they would save 50% of the price of the computer. (Part difference was that high and the parts on my original computer were still available from Dell)
Tried contacting the person in charge of my case, they ignore my emails and voicemails. Call the main line, they say that she will contact me by the end of the day. She didn't. I call back, another man on the support line basically calls me a liar saying the computers are exactly the same, hes useless. Now I am told that someone else tried to call me 4 times today despite the fact I received no calls from Dell. I tried to just return my laptop because I am leaving in a week and cant wait any longer being passed around by Dell, but the person wouldn't let me because its past the 21 days, despite the fact the computer was being repaired for a good 18-20 of those days and Ive been waiting the past month for a replacement laptop.
Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Does anyone have numbers of Dell representatives that can actually help me other than completely ignoring me?
This is the last time I buy anything from Dell.
