I've ordered the M1710 on Wednesday. Order was apparently released on Thursday (yesterday).
That purchase was based solely on a delivery before the 21st September. On several occasions this particular Sales rep guarantees it, 21st...September...2007. MAX DATE. But just over the phone.
Today I received another call from another sales Rep. The one I had originally wanted to direct my sales through but was unavailable on ordering day. So, I'm told now that it is impossible that with my current specifications, the other sales rep is misleading me and my laptop will not arrive by the 26th...which by the 24th I'm not even in the country have use of my new notebook. He gives me an ESD of 20th September.
I recall a third sales rep giving similar story to the second one mentioned here about upgrading to the t7600 for faster delivery as there's a problem with the t7400. The first rep mentioned did not even mention this.
Should I cancel this order? The first rep won't email/call back and I have the second rep on standby.

Cancel it. With the money you spent you can probably get the Toshiba x205. It's alot better. And the 9/21 is BS. Mine's the same as yours, but I ordered on 7/23.
Dell Rep accuses another Dell Rep of lying for sales. I'm stuck in the middle of it.
