I just ordered a 1420 refurb and I was wondering if Dells refurbs are ok? I got the extended warranty with it. Just was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the refurbs. Should I be worried?

    You shouldn't be worried.

If there is problem w/ it, let Dell fix it, or just return it is all.

I have purchased 2 refurb laptops from Dell, both of which had some issues, but treated me well. Good move to get the extended warranty, which I would do on any laptop, new or refurb.

My 1500 from the Outlet was noted as Scratch & Dent, but I couldn't find any evidence whatsoever.

It's been good for me for a month, and I just passed the 30 day return point. I guess I'm due to catastrophic failure any sec now. :-/

I got my machine for $450 less by going through the outlet (for the same price I would have had to take a big drop in CPU, 1GB less memory, no webcam, two layers less of a monitor, 40GB smaller HD, cheapie network card, no XP Pro, etc).

So far, refurb has been great for me.
