Hey guys,
Well after sending off my laptop to have the screen changed sevral times without success I've now decided to return it.
I've called up dell and spoken to customer services then tech support who handed me to a supervisor, they only asked me my name and if my adress and card details (the one to be refunded) were the same as when I bought the laptop. All I got in return was a refrence number.
Does this seem right? because I had the laptop 3 weeks this monday and as they're collecting it on wednesday I don't want to find out they'd lied and now I'm stuck with it as it's past the initial period.
Also could anyone clarify how long this initial period, where you can return the laptop for a refund, is? I've heard it's 7 days, 21 days or 31 days.
I'm in the UK if it matters.
Thanks for the help guys.

On a refurb the return period is 21 days that is final there is no 30 day or 31 day. If you know you have had it more than 21 days contact dell to be sure... it will be horrible if you send it back and don't get your refund

call dell ASAP make sure I have heard horror stories about other pc makers that do this to people.. they get the refund but only when they dispute with their own credit card company

thanks for the quick repies guys, i'll check it up with dell again,
can anyone tell me if I should have gotten something other than a refernce number? -
UK return policy is 8 days, not 21. It's clearly stated on their website.

oh.
Well they said it was fine, and she gave me a reference number. was there anything else I should have been given?
Lithius where on their website did you find this? I've looked around abit and couldn't find anything on their refund policies -
thanks mate.
I'm surprised I didn't find this.
