Hello Peeps, I recently returned a brand new laptop and used it for a day but decided to return it because of some issues, Dell support sent me ups electronic shipping labels and i shipped it out and with the track no. provided, in 3 days the tracking no. shows it being delivered to the dell warehouse.

Now here is my question, when I go to check my account at dell, i see a new order #, and dell purchase i.d # and it is about the 15% restocking fee on the laptop i returned using the UPS shipping label Dell emailed me. Does it mean that they have already received and confirmed in receiving the return package?

Another question, i was just on the phone for almost 3 hours trying to convince dell support to remove/waive the 15% restocking fee because of my current financial situation being a poor college student and all. Finally they helped me out with it and waived the restocking fee. Now i got an email confirming it and it is saying order cancelled for restocking fee for return of product. My question, is the "order cancelled" means they remove the restocking fee and i am going to get a full refund?

Last question guys, some are getting their refund in 3-5 days, and dell clearly states on the website that it can take upto 30 days, but the dell support told me it will only take 8-10 business days. I dunno which one is true but base on your experiences, how long did it take for it to show in your bank account or credit card.

    Thanks guys

i returned my laptop once still sealed in the box. i think it only took me couple of days after they received it. dell people will sometimes just tell you like an exaggerated date, so no worries with that. i would say the money should be there in a week from the receving date unless u had issue with the payment stuff (like trying to waive the restocking fees) just wait i guess

benchmade42: How did you convince them to remove the restocking fee?

Dellienware: Did you receive a full refund for the "still sealed" return? Did they ask you why you wanted to return it?
