    Hey i was wanting to reformat my computer but i dont have the xp disk i was wondering what is another way i can reformat my computer with out the disk!

    What do you plan to do after it is reformatted if you don't have an OS to install?

    yea i have done it once before you can press an F1-F12 key or something on start up but i cant remember how to do it!

    yee a restore disc wont work you have to buy the full retail OS

    Just curious, does Dell ship a Vista installation DVD that ONLY contains the Vista OS and none of the crap-ware?

    It should just be the Vista OS, but I haven't tried installing from my Vista OEM disk myself...

    No, it doesn't. Just vanilla Vista OS.

    The notebooks obviously ship with bloatware, but a fresh install will get rid of that.
