This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Not only do I get Vista Home Premium DVD, but I get the Sound Blaster HD audio CD (normally $25) + another $50 off for shipping

    are you sure that Sound Blast HD audio option is purely software?

    for me the only thing under sound is a sigmatel high definition audio

    yeah, it's a software, it just adds some capabilities, but it doesn't change any hardware. You can get an expresscard X-Fi but, afaik it doesn't have a sound processor either.
