    Hi there,

Got a quick important question (important to me anyways) on the dell return policy.

This is what I want to do, I want to buy the XPS m1530 and get the high screen resolution. Unfortunately they do not offer this for students. The highest being 1280X800. Can I buy the notebook from them and then send it in and pay more to get the higher upgrade latter?

    Thanks

I tried calling to see if I could get my student discount added to a magazine code and they wouldn't do it. The rep's excuse was that the deal was so good that cutting it anymore would be too much.

I tried arguing, but it basically boiled down to the fact that not all products on the main site are offered for rebate on the student sites and so she wouldn't apply the discount.

You may have better luck though, so like dvm I would go ahead and call and try to reason with the rep.

Yup, worked. Ordering it now. Just put me on hold. They have to communicate with different departments or something to get the system to properly configured.
