So on the 9300, it just dropped the prices on upgrades today by about 15-20%. Anyone who's been following know how often this happens?

There's no way it's going back up right?

I'm trying to figure out when I should buy the computer since I don't really need it right now during the summer. If it's likely to drop again in a month, then I'm gonna wait.

The prices of the upgrades haven't changed a bit; they've merely altered the listed prices to reflect the effect on the 20%-off sale price rather than the standard retail price.

save for 512mb of memory bought elsewhere, i used the last 750 off coupon. Although some belive the last deal was lousy, to customize the same machine, and take off 750 off that, it actually comes out to more! I got pretty lucky i guess.

haha, sigh, wait on, you wish, they made it that way, so you will think it is so, but in reality, the base (start price) was bumped up by so much, that it will cover ALL of the "cheaper" upgrades your heart will desire. hehehehe, it is all just a part of the free market, I do what I have to do to get the money out of you, doodoo.

As a matter of fact I just configured same thing as I did 3 weex ago and it came out 100 bux more than it was with "more expansive" upgrades. So enjoy your "savings", hehehe.

buying a dell requires much patience, for after doing the initial research of what you want, you have to wait week after week to find a good deal, because what may look like a good deal at first, after you arrive at checkout the system comes out to more than expected. From my research, a coupon with limited uses, as well as a coupon than lock up some customization options are the best.

I also thought prices had dropped. I noticed a few things cheaper than what I had paid.

I just compared my I9300 ( ordered 5-29-05 ) with a price today, and the price has actually went up by $99.

Todays price before any discounts : $2094
    May 29th price before discounts : $1995

Both prices had the $750 coupon available.
