    Hello,

I bought Dell XPS M1530 with Dell Preferred Account. Well, I have a promotion for no interest until 2009, and I just look at my statement. What is " Promotion Plan Deferred Finance Charges"? I got charge for $21.84. What in the world is that? Is it a one time set up fee or something?

If anyone knows what it is, please let me know.

A deferred finance charge is interest that is accrued but not charged due to a period of grace or waived interest.

Realize that you can sign up for the Preferred Account, but can be denied the special interest promotion. Call Dell and ask about your situation.

OK Thanks, I will call them tomorrow. Well, the box that says, " Balance Subject to Finance Charge" is 0 dollars.

Yea, they can get you with that. You can be approved to get an account but you may not be approved for the special promo. Also, sometimes based on configurations or system types, they may not qualify for the promo.

I hated how ambiguous and cryptic my dell preferred account was, so I just paid it off in full and said heck with it. I THOUGHT I would get some promo rates like 0% APR for a while or something but none was indicated. That was the only reason I signed up for the account in the first place, so was fairly disappointed.
