Hi, I recently bought a XPS M1530, and i have yet to receive it. My question is about Dell Prefered Account(DPA), because i bought that laptop with the account. As people know, Dell had 12 month no interest offer, which i believe is still going on. My question is: Do I automatically qualify for that offer, or do i have to call dell people and discuss it with them?

Also, the following was a good deal? Dell XPS M1530, White, 3GB ram, 8600M GT, Core 2 Duo T8300, Intel Wireless N, 9-Cell Battery, Standard Resolution (1280x1024), and the extra. I got it for $1270 including taxes, shipping and handling.

Hi, when I purchased my 1530, I also used the Dell DPA w/12 months no interest. They told me when you are approved ~ and you purchase the 1530 on the DPA, you are automatically qualified for the 12 months no interest.

Sure enough, when I received my first statement, the 12 months/no interest was on there. ;) (I have already paid off my 1530) ;)

There should also be something on your order acknowledgement showing the 12 month/interest free. ;)

If you don't see either of these, I would give Dell DPA a phone call. That way, you have it documented that you qualified, etc.

Hoping this helps you ;) :)

You have to qualify. I was helping a family order one a laptop before and they got denied for the dpa...must have had real bad credit or something. So just like a Kohls card or Best Buy card, you can be denied.

When it's offered and you apply to open an account with the no interest financing it should be automatic when approved. You can also check your order statement on-line.. it should mention the special deal.

    From Dells website:

edit:After rereading that it sounds like you might just need the available credit to qualify for it. I know that you need very good credit to get the 6 month 0% that they offer on everything else, but the XPS sounds like it might be for everyone.

Err... i think i need to clarify that i already have a DPA. I was just wondering if they send you the promotional offer with the laptop or I have to call them to get it. But notknowing answered the question =) Thanks!
