Hello
I like the Dell Precision M90 and the 17" screen. but can it play games with the NVIDIA Quadro FX 2500M 512MB (dedicated)
Doom,Quake4,BF2 and so on
Hygge du =)

Yes it can. It's not designed for games. It does best with video effects and other 3D programs. Something like the XPS m170 with the 7800GTX would most likely do better when it comes to games...
-
ok. but dell don`t make the XPS`s 17" screen with non-reflective technology (anti-glare)
Do you think i can call an order the m90 with the Fx7800?.. -
unlikely that they would be willing to use a consumer card in it. Especially when
the 2500 is essentially the same as go 7900 gtx. It is clocked 1200Mhz memory
and 430Mhz core and that makes it equal to the desktop 7800Gtx 256Mb. It
souhld perform better than the go 7800. -
might lose a bit, but mainly because they usually have lower clocks for
stability. The drivers are optimized for OpenGL, but that doesnt take away
directx performance more than a few percent. 1500M and 2500M use the
G71 (aka 7900) core and should beat the c.r.a.p out of 7800. -
gpus are not interchangeable like that
-
Yes it is fine
