I have a Dell Precision M3800 with the 91 WHr 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery that takes up the normal SSD slot. When I purchased it I didn't know this until I went to put in a larger SSD (currently have256GB Solid State Drive Full Mini Card).

Does anyone know if I can install the SAMSUNG 850 EVO mSATA 1TB Mini-SATA (mSATA). I don't think it existed at the time I purchased the laptop and Dell does not list a 1TB option.

    Thanks
    Dan

Also is there an easy method to clone the current 256 mini card to the new 512GB or 1TB mini?

Yes, you can definitely put the 850 EVO 1TB mSATA SSD in there. I have done this for my XPS15 9530 with no problem. I prefer this arrangement to get the bigger battery.

Yes you can use the 1tb msata.

Cloning is very easy from a smaller to bigger drive. Easiest way is to get a usb to sata and maybe a sata to msata adapter.
