I really like the new M2300, but not sure about the graphic card, one part of dell.com describe at 256MB on board memory, but if I customize it, it says 128MB on board - what is correct ?

    Thanks

This is the only option I saw for that machine. So that's the card. It's got 128 dedicated ram, and takes another 128mb from the system ram (known as turbocache)

So the description is telling you the overall memory amount, and in the detailed description when you order it tells you the details of that memory (dedicated vs shared)

From what i understand, the 360m that comes in the m4300 will be 256mb dedicated, and the one in the m2300 is 128mb dedicated.

For Dell Precision M2300, the NVIDIA Quadro FX 360M comes with 128MB dedicated memory and uses up another 128MB from the system memory. This is also called as TurboCache.

However, for Dell Precision M4300, the NVIDIA Quadro FX 360M comes with 256MB dedicated memory and uses up another 256MB from the system memory. This is also called as TurboCache.

The system memory allocated to support graphics, depends on system memory size and other factors. The maximum is 128MB for M2300 systems and 256MB for M4300 systems.
