    Hi,

I have a problem, I live outside the US and in the next few weeks I am travelling there for work.
I wanted to buy a Laptop, they are way cheaper than in my country. But here is the thing, I was wondering if Dell had any physical store for me to pick up the order, I am buying from Dell outlet.
I dont have any friends who live there right now and I am travelling for 3 days so its impossible for me to ship the laptop to my hotel...
Bestbuy has this system where you can make the order from outside the US and they can ship it to any adress or you can directly pick it up from any store, so I was wondering if Dell had any similar.

    Thank you

Dell sells directly to the consumer to keep prices low. If your lucky you might find a few of the cheapest configured dell laptops at the supermarket, like they sell here in 'the carrefour', but i'm not sure if they do that in the US aswell.

Hey if you live in europe, could you tell me if you need to pay the taxes if you bring that lapop with you in your lugage?
Because when you order one which will be shipped to you, then aditional taxes will be taxed from you, if they don't tax you if you bring it in your bag I think i'll go for a lil 'buying' trip to the usa myself.

Also, don't forget to see if those american laptops have the right powercable for your country.

Thank you for your answer. Yes I have seen notebooks in Bestbuy or even in Walmart but the problem is that they usually come with the standard resolution 1366x768, and I really need 1080p.
I dont live in Europe, I live in South America and what I will do is to travel without a notebook. That way when I receive the new one I will be carrying it as my own personal computer and therefore they cant demand any taxes on you.

Dell used to have kiosk's in various malls around the country. There you still wouldn't get your machine right away, but you'd be able to have someone help you order it and play around with demo machines. With the introduction of Dell going retail, you can now find select configurations of Inspiron's, Studio's and XPS systems at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and Staples.
