I've used it without a problem on a Vostro 1500. Similar to the Norton System Works One-button check-up. I'd say you'd get some initial reports of errors on the first run as it finds all the problems and after that it seems to run without my intervention. I have it set to run automatically, so it's no problem for me. That said, I doubt that I would pay for it after the free year runs out. I'd just use Norton to fix the problems.

There isn't anything that you can't accomplish with free tools.

I can tell you this: If you go and start unloading lots of programs in win vista, you will always want to drill into the C: drive to look for all the folders that get left behind. I was astounded how 'incomplete' so many uninstalls really are. Your registry just gets to be like mashed potatoes after awhile also. A good registry 'cleaner' program can be really awesome sometimes. Course, it can mess you right up too . . . .

Revo Uninstaller is great for this. It'll run the uninstaller and find the residual files and registry keys.

I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 1525 and I am using the Dell PC Tune Up and think it's great! Loads of good tools and well worth to 40 bucks it costs. Does a good job with the registry and lots of other tools. Keeps this notebook running fast.

I am using a 30 day trial and intend on paying for it. I am a long time PC user and an MCSE in Win NT. I like this program.
