Do the discount coupons typically work in the outlet models? The refurbs and scratch 'n dents etc? If not, why would anyone buy there? They've got a lot of Pentium M's, intel graphic cards, and mainly prices that aren't much less than new after coupon.

This is true in some cases, that the Outlet price will not be much different from a new model. If you really hunt through and check often you will be able to find some great deals on Models that have nice gaming abilities. They go really, really fast. I was once looking at a page, saw the listing, then after I clicked it, it said it was unavailable. Hundreds of people are on there at the same time all the time. It's hard to get a great deal when you need to get it, but if you don't care when you get it, check often, and are quick on the button you can land yourself a great deal.

I bought my m1210 XPS for actually more than 40% off the retail price. What notebook size/model you looking for?

I'm looking for the 1505...hopefully with the upgraded video card and nice screen.

How about one like this?

that's not a very impressive deal.
I paid $1100 for mine brand new shipped and it had a better processor. T7200 and everything else was the same. -
I bought a 9400 with T7200 and 7900GS for $1060 about 2 weeks ago. There is currently a 10% off coupon on techbargains for the outlet.
