I just purchased a Latitude laptop from Dell's Outlet store. I understand from their "advertising" that the warranty is the same as it would be with a "new" laptop. In this case 3years.

Problem is, when I access the service tag/express code from my account and look under warranty the start date of the warranty is March 12 and not May 15 when it was shipped.

I assume the MARCH date is the ORIGINAL ship date to the first owner who returned it.

Should my warranty start from MARCH or MAY when I received it? I actually noticed the same thing with another Outlet computer I purchased.

Probably should be when yours was shipped, I'd call them up.

Call them up. It should be the day your system is shipped.

This has happened to me before and sometimes it takes a day or two before the change to warranty appears.
