I was thinking of getting a little more laptop for the money and taking a chance on a the Dell Outlet laptops. It looks like you could save a lot of money. Any advise from people who have gone this route?

yeah u could save a lot... the only draw back is fixed configuration and the fact that you might not get a brand new laptop...

the best bet is to get 20% off outlet price... but the competitions out there is fierce when such deal come around...

any new listings added to the inventory will be snatch up within seconds, so do your homework before heading into the shark infested water...

typically, if you can find the laptop listed showing up again and again, then it's a dead giveaway that it's not worth picking up...

    good luck

The only other concern is warranty, last I looked they only came with 90-days.

I just bought a brand-new Latitude D610 through the outlet, saving ~$250, and it certainly looks brand-new to me. I think the outlet is a safer bet with the business systems than with Inspirons, but that's just my opinion. About the warranty, again, I don't know about Inspirons, but my Lat came with the normal 3-yr next business day onsite that is standard for that system.
