I'm attempting to purchase a laptop from the Dell Outlet store, but the only methods of payment I have available in my situation are money orders/cashier's checks. I don't want to involve my bank account in the transaction (I have a reason, but it's complicated), and I just took $500 out of my PayPal account so I don't have much interest in putting $1200 back into it to pay.

Is it possible to pay for a laptop on the Dell Outlet store via a money order or cashier's checks? I don't see the option on the payment part of the site. Can I call Dell and set this up?

    Thanks.

I don't know about Dell outlet store, but I heard there's a paypal option on when you purchase new systems. See if Dell outlet accept paypal as a payment option.

The Outlet Store accepts PayPal, but since I just withdrew everything from it in anticipation of using a money order/cashier's check to pay for the laptop I was wondering if it could be purchased without using PayPal.

I guess, you can go financing option. But be aware I heard some bad stuff about DFS. Make sure you can pay in full without any interests.

    I don't have any credit. :/

Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and put the money back into my PayPal account and pay that way.

I think you'll either have to use paypal or a check (check takes way longer though). If I were you, I would just bite the bullet :-/

It really does suck with Dell - cause you get a customize laptop but you have to make some sacrifices to get it.

    Good Luck

I think you are making a smart choice. Even if Dell decides to receive the check/money order, it would take ages for you to receive it. By transferring money to paypal you can use paypal on Friday. Who knows there might be better system for cheaper price by then. Keep your fingers crossed. :)

I am very surprised that there is no credit card option. Has anyone checked? This is by far the most secure method (and has other benefits, like warranty, etc)

    There's a credit card option - I just don't happen to own one. :p

I ordered mine from there few days ago and didn't know about the 10% off 999+ purchase, look for it on e-bay if you don't know about it. Now, if it does really work, I have no idea, since I didn't use it.

Sounds like a great deal, but I'm buying a latitude.

    Thanks, though.
