I just wanted to warn everyone I would NOT order by using a check in the mail. My order was cancelled Nov 8th and as of Dec 19th still no refund. I do recommend using email over calling but, still don't get why it takes this long to have my money returned. Is it a company rule to hold money 8 weeks before refund?

No it shouldn't be...you need to give Dell a call and tell them you'll be contacting the bank if they don't refund it pronto. Refunds ought to take no more than 10 days.

if its a personal check they do need to make sure it clears first before issuing your refund, though thats typically only a two week period, I would call and insist on talking to a customer care manager, in my experience, if you have a legitimate complaint, they will usually resolve it very quickly and efficently

Did you have to call them or did they just give it back

I had to email them 4 times and call them 3 other times. I figured it would take 3 or 4 weeks to get money back but, It was 6 weeks so I bothered them til they delivered. I honestly can't say if I never emailed or called when the money would have showed up. I'm just glad it is solved. I getting a debit card for better protection so this won't happen again and if it does my bank can find out what the deal is.
