    Dell Order Status and Estimated Delivery Date

    Hi,

    I ordered a dell laptop on the 25/03/2008 and the estimated delivery date was initially 14/04/2008. However, my order shipped today, which is good news. Are the delivery dates usually such an overestimate?

    If this was an XPS M1530, i beleive it is because they ran out of the aliminium palmrest part so they tentatively estimated a late delivery date, despite already having the parts back in stock. I ordered my M1530 last thursday and it was ALSO estimated delivery on the 14th of april. Mine is already with the local courier and i am expecting it 2moro or monday! :D

    No normally it's just the parts that are delayed and they receive them earlier. Mine was shipped 8 days earlier than expected and works great.

    i ordered my xps on 3/24, just checked this morning and saw that it had been shipped (3/27) now its the waiting game for how long the delivery takes

    My XPS shipped on March 24, 7 days before the est. ship date. However once it shipped the estimated delivery date started out as April 2, then a couple days later bumped to April 3, and now bumped again to April 7th. What the heck? Did the driver get lost somewhere along the way, ugh.

    My 1530 was supposed to be 3/24 with a delivery of 3/27, it was shipped 3/22 and delivered 3/25.

    My XPS 1530 was ordered on 31/03/2008 and estimated del on 24/04/08
    Strangely it is under delivery preparation today.
    So I will be getting it quite early i guess!
