Hi, I had ordered a Vostro 1500 yesterday with no accessories since I could not decide which kind of case I wanted since I have no experience with them (or with notebooks for that matter) at all. I will only be carrying around my laptop, power cord, and bluetooth mouse. My first option is to buy a notebook sleeve and put my notebook in it, then put that and my two other accessories in a normal school bag, since I will have books with me. My second option is to buy a special notebook schoolbag instead. What seems better? I do not know if the notebook school bag will have enough room for my books as well, since I have never seen one. Any suggestions?

Would it be too late to call Dell Post-Sales and ask them to add it to my order? I would like to save shipping and get 10% off as i did with the notebook

    Thanks,
    Mike.

Damn, I keep posting threads where i think they belong (or example, I want to order a case from Dell) until i feel guilty for how different my topic is from others in the ell forum. Then I find the accessories forum and wish i could move this thread there myself or at least delete it. I will repost this in the accessories section so do not bother replying here. Thanks.

buy a sleeve and put it in your backpack.

you don't have to buy a notebook school bag. Just find a backpack you like and put a sleeve on it.

    sleeve and backpack

and not a backpack that says targus, kensington, or somthing else that indicates a computer inside.

Much more comfortable, practical (for a student at least), and MUCH less conspicuous

I would hate to carry around a school bag AND a laptop bag...

So i ended up getting the sleeve where I could just stuff it inside my bag with books and stuff.

By the way, they most likely wont give you a discount on the sleeve since it is not manufactured by Dell, they have a set-price for stuff like that.
You could try on the free shipping though.

I dont like sleeves but they are cheaper and if u already have a backpack then that would work ok.
