I recieved my new XPS m1730 today, got it out of the box, plugged it into the AC charger, turned it on, and ir ecieved the Dell bios screen, which was all fine, then it halts straght after and informs me that its had a memery read error, i tried reseating the ram (as if that ever would do anything unless the stick was in diagonally anyways :\) and i tried both ram sticks in both DIMM slots, defeated i called the XPS cus service, which was fine, the Cus serv person walked me through exactly what i had tried, still no success, and apparently i have a dell tech coming around to my place tommorow to have a look.
My question is this, CAN a laptop motherboard me replaced (onsite or offsite) and/or does it need to be sent back. im very clueless with the inside of a laptop i have NFI if u can even replace a laptop mobo :S
thanks in advance
