I found that the bottom of my 1420 was warped, causing it to wobble on flat surfaces. I chatted with Dell Service, and they sent another system to replace the defective one.
I now have both laptops side by side, and can't help but notice some differences in the anti-glare screens.
The first 1420 has a CMO1426 screen.
The second 1420 has a SEC3157 screen and is missing the plastic film that covers the dell symbol on the cover.
Although the second dell appears to have a better screen, resulting in better contrast and brightness, there is a bit of light leakage along the bottom. The 9 cell battery also does not move as much.
When Dell replaces your system in an exchange like mine, do you have to return everything that was previously sent? Like the new system didn't ship with earbuds, and anyone else get this Samsung screen? Any thoughts?

My 1420 anti-glare was replaced too. My original screen was a CMO1426 and my replacement has a SEC3157 which also has light leakage on the bottom. My 9-cell moves just as much though.

I'd return exactly what they shipped you in the 2nd package. Keep the ear buds.
