    Dell Network Assistant.... is it needed?

    Hi, Just wondering, i just had a new hard drive installed in my Vostro 1500 becuase there was an issue with the old one, now when i start up my computer Dell Network Assistant runs as a program,.. what is it and do i need it, will i not be able to use a LAN or WiFi with out it? how do i remove it or should i just unslect it from my start up programs list?

    NO, it is not necessary. I skip that when I installed Win XP Pro on my new hard drive. In Vista, you'll get more network connection problems and it may help a little bit in diagnosis.

    Ok so I should be able to just uncheck it in my start up menu?

    Dell Network Assistant 1.7 is a rebranded SingleClick HomeNet Manager. You can simply uninstall it if you're not using it. I didn't bother installing it either.
