I need some opinions, what is the better broadband service provider do you think for a Dell laptop? I am getting the Studio 17 with built-in mobile broadband. My options are either Verizon Wireless or AT&T.

Which service provider would you recommend to go with and why?

Check with your local provider what the speed is. Either go to a local store, or check online about the coverage. The reason is that there might be no service in your area. For example, when I got my AT&T service, there was no 3G coverage in my area. Luckily, 2 months after that, AT&T upgraded their service and I have 3G service since.

The reason why the best thing is to go a local store is because if your area has 3G service, the speed might vary. For example, in some cities, AT&T is giving them 3Mbps, whereas in my area, I'm getting only 1.8Mbps. Another example is in some cities, Sprint is giving over 2Mbps, and only 1.4Mbps in some areas. You can try and find this information online (the actual speed of Verizon and AT&T in your area), but I tried that before for my area, and it was a pain. I did found a site but I can't remember what it was.

I went with Verizon because they are who I had my cell phone through.
