My parents live in the UK and have a Dell Mini 9. Unfortunately the HD has died three of four times in the past year, and they have to return the machine and it comes back with a new HD.

The last HD died less than a week after being replaced.

Do you think it is worth asking Dell UK for a brand new machine as it is getting silly to keep replacing the HD like that. How good are Dell UK at replacement machines? And, is it a realistic demand?

They only use their laptop for Skype and surfing so at the time it came out the mini 9 was ideal for their needs. They do need to get a new computer but was just wondering what we might be able to expect from Dell UK?

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you.

Uhh service 3-4 times, especially for the same part should warrant a replacement unit. Called up Dell and inquire about a replacement.
