Hi. I've got very, very good hearing and had to send back an M1330 because of the CPU whine when running from the battery. :(

Can anybody tell me if CPU whine is an issue for the Mini 9?

I believe the atom processors do not have whine unlike some C2D models.

Maybe a mini 12 would be better when they're released for US and europe in november if you liked the m1330 but not the whine.

I've had my mini in very quiet situations and there is absolutely no noise at all. That's what I love most about the mini... no fans, no noises, and I don't hear any cpu whine.
