We had the pleasure of working with this netbook for the past 2 weeks, including installing a copy of Windows 7 build 7068 on it.

It's our first netbook/notebook review, so thoughts and input are welcome.

Admins/Mods - if this is the wrong place for this, I apologize. Please move it to the most appropriate location.

That actually sounds really good. I'm already excited about Windows 7, and I'm excited about netbooks, but the fact that most of them can't run Vista very well is a real setback. Now I may seriously consider getting a Mini 9 or 10 with Windows 7!

Nice, conclusive review you did on the I10....I like the skin you put on the cover! :D

I've thought about trying out a skin on my I9, now that I see yours..hmmm :D

Thanks. I was really really impressed with how well Win7 performed. And it was even the Ultimate version (in theory the most bloated of all).

That was nice to read that esp. with Win 7 :D
I had at one point thought that the I10 was going to be my newer netbook purchase...but I decided to wait and stick with my I9.

Looks like there was about a 12 second boot time diff' bet Win 7 & XP...and about 48 sec on XP w/Selective startup? Not too bad....though when waiting..that can seem like forever.. ;)

    Cin ;) :)

My wish list for a "pocket rocket" of a netbook would be the following:

    1) NV 9400M graphics/chipset (or better)
    2) Fast SSD (Intel X25-M or OCZ Vertex)

Granted, the SSD would effectively double the price of the netbook, but it would make it a real pleasure to use on a day to day basis.
