    Hi,

I have some problems with Dell MediaDirect. when I try to start the program, he says me that I have enabled Microsoft BitLocker. My problem is I don't know how to enable and to disable Microsoft BitLocker. can anyone help me? I want to disable Microsoft BitLocker, but I don't know how? (I even don't remeber to have enabled it)

    I have an Inspiron 1720

This is the message I receive, when I try to start Dell MediaDirect:

Dell MediaDirect Express cannot access your hard drive. This may be because you have enabled Microsoft BitLocker (Drive Encryption). MediaDirect Express is not accessfible when Microsoft Bitlocker is enabled.

First off, you need a TPM for Bitlocker. Second, you need Vista Business or Ultimate.

    1) Vista - Go to the Control Panel and check to see if it is enabled (but not configured or something). Disable it.
    2) TPM - If you don't have one I am not even sure why you get that error message. Anyway, I'm assuming you have one. Turn it off in BIOS if you can.
