I have a 1735 and I heard that older dell laptops would allow you to boot straight to the mediadirect software without booting windows.
I wanted to knw if anyones found a way to do this on their studio 17/15 laptop or if it is even possible.

I heard that previous versions were able to this so I thought that maybe if you install a previous version then that will work but I get the feeling its a little more complicated then that.

You got to have a seperate partition for media direct. I remember my hp had something similar that it would be able to boot without the os. But once I deleted the partition, it never worked again. So I know that if it were able to boot w/o windows it will have to have a seperate partition.
If you find that it works post back.
