My notebook doesn't want to power on so I have to send it in as I have mail-in warranty. Any sotories that you guys have that could reassure me that Dell Mail-In is good. I read some stories that have said that Dell Mail-In is horrible. Your guys advice

You need to get with them. They send you a box.
Don't call, use the "chat" thingee in their support page.
They tend to use DHL. DHL is simply put, the worst. They don't always show up. Once they called, they were like 6 hours late, and said they were still coming. Never saw them. I ended up taking it to DHL myself.
Then, I went out of my way with Dell to make sure they had my address right and everything. Took a long time to fix, then they sent it back. Doh! To my old address. I had to fight with them for almost 2 weeks before they agreed to replace it.
Their first idea was to have DHL go get the laptop from where it was delivered. That took a week to play out. Nothing. Then I spent the next week fighting for a replacement.
When I got a replacement it did not have a hyperthreading CPU or a 7200rpm hard drive like my original one did and the headphone jack did not work. Sigh. Back to Dell.
They did fix a couple of other laptops ok and fast, but, I always go right to DHL now with the box cuz DHL hires a bunch of crackheads from what I can tell.
So, there is my horror story.
