Planning to buy a 640m. Have heard all kind of horror stories about pulling teeth to get Dell to honor their rebates. Is it worth the hassle to purchase a 3yr on site warranty for $240 with a $173 mail in rebate? Thanks for any advice.

Make copies of everything before you send it off. Send it certified mail. That way they must sign for it and cannot clain they didn't get it.
