    As you can see, it's quite the 3D sound is great. (the finger snaps) work great in a surround sound type of feel, but do you hear all that "noise" in he background? I would call it static i suppose, but I believe it's recording the sound of the PC itself!

    I recorded that in a completely silent room, so it can't be the buzzing of a ceiling fan or another computer.

    Is there any solution to this? This definitely makes recording audio harder with the built in mics

    I'm still having problems with the issue, I've tried many times to rollback to an inspiron driver with no luck. I'm convinced it's a driver issue as device manager detects the device as working properly.

    I wanted to ask whether anyone has no input coming the mic at all? Some say very low, but im yet to detect anything?

    Only good news I've found (I hope), is that a new driver is apparently in the pipe line. Last release date was 29th, Sept. You can see here:

    The new driver caused a distinct improvement. Not dramatic, but noticeable.
