    Hi Guys,

I was just wondering is anyones keyboard on their Dell XPS M1330 becoming uneven. I dont know if I am becoming paranoid but I think my keyboard has increased its height just under the F9, F10, 8, 9 & 0 Buttons. If anyone has anything simliar could you please let me know.

    Cheers

    Naush.

Mine also has a uneven keybaord, so you not alone. I'm getting a replacement since i also have a keyboard scratch, dead pixel and dent in palm rest area.

This laptop looks fantasitc, but build is of low quality which is real shame.

I got mine today, and the build is perfect, everything is strong and strait. I was expecting a wobble in the base or things not flush. But everything is perfect

Yea, my keyboard has a little bump in the middle of it-exactly where you are talking about. Will a new keyboard really fix the problem, or is the bump being caused by something underneath the keyboard?

Same problem here. The little (and I mean little) bump is dead center near the top.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

I had the exact same issue. My keyboard would sink at the F4 and F5 keys, and would rise at the F8 and F9 keys. I had a Dell tech come to my house to replace the keyboard. There is a wire that runs underneath the keyboard that was twisted. This caused the keyboard to rise in the middle. He removed my keyboard, untwisted the wire, and reseated a brand new keyboard in its place.

It looked perfectly flat after the procedure. Now, 3 weeks later, I do notice that the sink/rise is back with this new keyboard as well. The degree of the sink/rise is nowhere near how it was before and thus I can tolerate it without having it bug me. Previously, it was such an annoyance that I couldnt stand it.

My friend removed the keyboard, lightly tapped it with a wooden hammer and fixed it back. All problems solved!

I also have a bump near the F8-F12 buttons. It doesn't really bother me.

Same with me! My keyboard dips downward at the F8 key and its lowest point is at the F12 key. It rises back up to the Insert key. Keyboard works fine for typing but dissapointing for the amount I paid for it. Getting a replacement as i have the CPU whine, microphone static and the problem with the eject button(hangs the system briefly when pressed until media is fully ejected, V. ANNOYING!!!) Love everything about it besides from those few problems.
