    Dell M1210 fan noise loud?

    To the owners of the M1210, what you guys think about the fan noise? I'm pretty disappointed with my compaq v2000z annoying fan so i'm looking to upgrade. I also have the e1705 which isn't loud.

    I just go one on tuesday - the fan noise is not too bad, but it is noticable - I have installed Vista so all of my Dell management stuff is gone.

    you will hear it in a totally quiet envirnment, with moderate/light ambient noise levels, I cant hear mine maxed out unless I put my ear right up to the vent

    i dont think its very loud at all, except when its going all out and then its still not that loud compared to other laptops
